🌞🎉 YAY!! CAMP SEASON’S WRAPPING UP….....

BUT INCLUSION IS YEAR-ROUND! 💥

Just because the summer fun is winding down doesn’t mean the inclusion magic stops. ✨

⏰Now’s the perfect time to reflect, reconnect, and plan ahead so every camper keeps thriving—at school, in the community, and for SUMMER 2026!

💬 Here are a few ways to keep the momentum going:

✅ Team up with schools & support agencies — Share strategies and successes to keep progress consistent year-round.

✅ Revisit family expectations — Could campers use less support next year? What boundaries or policies might need refreshing?

✅ Review accommodations — What worked? What needs adjusting? Now’s the time to capture those insights.

✅ Boost independence — Recommend afterschool programs, clubs, or sports to build confidence and carry summer progress into fall.

✅ Plan your 2026 inclusion strategy — Budget now for camp-wide training to equip your team early and thoroughly.

✅ Keep friendships blooming — Help campers stay in touch with new friends—encourage families to exchange contact info for playdates or reunions!

✅ Celebrate your team — Don’t forget to debrief with your staff—what were the wins, challenges, and takeaways from this summer’s inclusion efforts?

💛 Let’s keep creating spaces where every camper belongs—all year long.

Hey Reader, Lately, camp staff have been sharing a lot online—and not just on job boards. In fact, right now on Reddit, there are dozens of posts from counsellors venting about burnout, poor leadership, lack of support, and even serious safety concerns. And here’s the twist: many of these posts are showing up on forums that parents and prospective staff read. 💬 “I'm emotionally and physically exhausted. My directors are forcing me to say I’m 100%. My counsellors call me negative and gossip...
